Conductor Systems has been supplying the African and European markets with versatile, cost effective and reliable reeling solutions since 1980. The type and size of reels are designed in accordance with customer requirements and can be based on one of our 4 standard configuration types or imported from our international partners.

The Random Wrap Reel is designed for short or medium cable or hose lengths. The cable / hose winds randomly onto the reel without any guiding.

The Mono Spiral Reel, the cable or hose winds on as a single spiral, and is the best method of winding if the parameters allow. Depending on the cable / hose diameter, the reel can accommodate up to 350 m cable with a speed up to 25m/min.

The Cylindrical Drum Reel is designed to wind extremely long cable / hose lengths (up to 500m). The cable or hose is wound in 2 or 3 layers on a cylindrical drum and the layers are formed by a moving guide unit.

The 3-2-3 Reel combines the advantages of both the mono spiral and semi wide spools - self guiding with a smaller and more compact diameter requirement. Winding first in 3 then 2 layers alternately.

REELING CABLE

CONDUCTOR SYSTEMS supplies cable made by the leading European cable manufacturers who have developed their own range of special cables for reeling drum applications. These cables all comply with European standards (VDE, NF, IEC…):
  • BUFLEX power cable for standard reeling duty application,
  • BUFLEX control cable for standard reeling duty application,
  • PANZERFLEX power and control cable for heavier applications, particularly suitable for vertical applications.
  • PANZERFLEX HV (3, 6, 11 KV) Composite power and control cable for heavy duty applications.
  • PANZERFLEX HV (3, 6, 11 KV) Composite power, control cable and fibre optic cores for special control applications.
All cables used on motorised reeling drum must have a special lay-up to eliminate the deformation of the internal cores. The following characteristics should be inherent in the cable:
  • Flexible tinned stranded copper conductor.
  • Strength (tension, rotation, bending), i.e. mixed copper and fibre braiding.
